These Website Terms explain the basis on which you may access and use Fetchatradie, including important information about enquiries, introductions and your dealings with tradies and service professionals.

About These Terms

How Fetchatradie Fits Into The Process

These Website Terms apply when you access or use the Fetchatradie website and services, including when you submit an enquiry, provide project information or use Fetchatradie to help identify a tradie or service professional.

01

The Fetchatradie Service

Fetchatradie provides a way for homeowners and other users to describe what they need and to seek assistance in identifying relevant tradies or service professionals.

The way an enquiry is handled may depend on the type of job, service or project involved.

02

Introductions

Where appropriate, Fetchatradie may help facilitate an introduction or connection between you and a tradie or service professional who may be relevant to your enquiry.

An introduction does not itself create an agreement for trade or professional services.

03

Your Chosen Professional

If you decide to engage a tradie or service professional, the arrangements for that work are made directly between you and that professional.

Those arrangements may include matters such as scope, quotations, pricing, timing, payment and the performance of the work.

An Important Distinction

Fetchatradie facilitates the connection.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in relation to a particular service, Fetchatradie is not the tradie, contractor or service professional who carries out the work you request.

The agreement for the work itself is between you and the professional you choose to engage. You should satisfy yourself that the professional, proposed work and terms of engagement are appropriate for your circumstances before proceeding.

i

Using The Website

By accessing or using the Fetchatradie website or submitting information through its services, you agree to use the website in accordance with these Website Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the website or submit an enquiry through Fetchatradie.

Information about how Fetchatradie handles personal information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy .
Using The Service

Enquiries, Information & Introductions

The information you provide helps Fetchatradie understand what you need and, where appropriate, identify a relevant next step or professional. Providing clear and accurate information helps that process work as intended.

01
Your Enquiry

Information You Provide

When submitting an enquiry, you should provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and reasonably relevant to the job, service or project you are asking about.

This may include contact details, location or property information, a description of the work and other information needed to understand your enquiry.

02
Processing Your Enquiry

How Your Enquiry May Be Used

Fetchatradie may use the information in your enquiry to understand what you need, communicate with you and determine whether there may be a relevant tradie, service professional or other pathway for your request.

Relevant enquiry information may also be shared where necessary to facilitate an introduction, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

03
Introductions

Connecting With A Professional

Where Fetchatradie identifies a potentially relevant professional, we may facilitate an introduction or provide a way for you and that professional to connect.

You remain free to decide whether you want to communicate with or engage any professional introduced through Fetchatradie.

04
After An Introduction

Discussing The Work

Once you are in contact with a professional, you should discuss the proposed work directly with them, including the scope, suitability, price, timing and any other conditions that matter to you.

You should make your own decision about whether to proceed before entering into an agreement or allowing work to begin.

Setting Expectations

An enquiry is a starting point — not a guarantee.

Submitting an enquiry to Fetchatradie does not guarantee that a particular professional will be available, accept the work, provide a quotation or enter into an agreement with you.

The suitability and availability of professionals may depend on factors such as the nature and location of the work, timing, capacity and the professional's own decision about whether to take on the enquiry.

01
No guaranteed match

A suitable professional may not always be available for a particular enquiry.

02
No guaranteed response

A professional may decide whether or not to respond to or pursue an enquiry.

03
No automatic agreement

An introduction does not create a contract for the proposed work.

04
You decide whether to proceed

The decision to engage a professional remains yours.

i

An Introduction Is Not The Work Agreement

Any quotation, scope of work, price, deposit, payment terms, timing, warranty, variation or other arrangement relating to the work should be agreed directly between you and the tradie or service professional you choose to engage.

Before You Proceed

Choosing & Engaging A Professional

An introduction through Fetchatradie can help you find a possible professional for your job or project. The decision to engage that professional, however, remains yours.

Your Decision

Make sure the professional is right for your job.

Before engaging a tradie or service professional, you should make whatever enquiries and checks are appropriate for the particular work you require.

The checks that matter will vary depending on the job. Some work may involve specific qualifications, licences, registrations, insurance or other requirements, while other work may not.

Things you may want to check

Depending on the nature of your project, relevant checks may include some or all of the following.

01

Experience & Suitability

Ask about experience relevant to the type and scale of work you need completed.

02

Qualifications & Licensing

Where the work requires particular qualifications, registration or licensing, consider checking the professional holds the appropriate credentials.

03

Insurance

Consider whether insurance is relevant to the work and ask the professional about appropriate cover where necessary.

04

Scope & Quotation

Make sure you understand what is included in the proposed work, the quoted price and anything that may be excluded.

05

Timing & Payment

Discuss expected timing, deposits, progress payments and final payment arrangements before work begins.

06

Your Agreement

Consider having the important terms of the work clearly recorded between you and the professional, particularly for larger projects.

Your Work Agreement

The professional is responsible for the work they agree to perform.

If you engage a tradie or service professional, the agreement concerning the work is between you and that professional.

The professional is responsible for the services they agree to provide, and you are responsible for understanding and agreeing the terms on which you engage them.

i

Fetchatradie Does Not Replace Your Own Checks

The fact that you have been introduced to, or connected with, a professional through Fetchatradie does not remove the need to make the checks you consider appropriate before engaging them or agreeing to work.

The Work Agreement

Quotes, Pricing, Payments & The Work

If you choose to engage a tradie or service professional, the commercial arrangements for the work should be agreed directly between you and that professional.

Who You Are Engaging

Your agreement is with the professional carrying out the work.

Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service, Fetchatradie is not a party to the agreement between you and the tradie or service professional you choose to engage.

Quotes, prices, deposits, payment terms, timing, scope and other conditions relating to the work should be confirmed with that professional.

Quotes & Estimates

Understand What Is Included

Any quote, estimate or pricing information for the work should be provided or confirmed by the professional you are considering engaging.

Before proceeding, consider checking the scope of work, what is included or excluded, applicable taxes or charges, and any assumptions on which the price is based.

Deposits & Payments

Agree Payment Arrangements Directly

Any deposit, progress payment, final payment or other amount relating to the work should be agreed between you and the professional.

You should understand the payment arrangements before making a payment or authorising work to begin.

Changes & Variations

Deal With Changes Before They Become Surprises

The scope, price or timing of a job can sometimes change after work begins, particularly where additional work or previously unknown issues are identified.

Where possible, changes and their effect on price or timing should be discussed and agreed directly with the professional before the additional work proceeds.

Completion

Check The Work & Your Agreement

Questions about completion, workmanship, outstanding items, documentation, warranties or payment should be addressed with the professional in accordance with the arrangements you have made with them.

Any rights or obligations that apply under law remain subject to the circumstances of the particular work and agreement.

Responsibility For The Work

The professional is responsible for the services they agree to provide.

The tradie or service professional you engage is responsible for performing the work they have agreed with you, subject to the terms of your agreement and any rights or obligations that apply by law.

Fetchatradie's role in facilitating an enquiry or introduction does not make Fetchatradie the contractor performing that work.

If Something Goes Wrong

Issues with the work should usually be raised with the professional first.

If a concern arises about a quote, payment, scheduling, workmanship, damage, completion or another aspect of the work, you should raise the issue directly with the professional you engaged and give them an appropriate opportunity to respond.

You may also contact Fetchatradie to make us aware of an issue involving an introduction made through the service. However, contacting Fetchatradie does not make Fetchatradie a party to the agreement or dispute between you and the professional.

i

Your Legal Rights Are Not Replaced By These Terms

Nothing in these Website Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law.

Fair & Reasonable Use

Use Fetchatradie for genuine enquiries and legitimate purposes.

You may use the website and its enquiry tools for their intended purposes, including seeking information, describing a genuine job or project, contacting Fetchatradie and requesting help to identify an appropriate service pathway.

You must not deliberately misuse the website, interfere with its operation or use it for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes.

When using Fetchatradie

You should not use the website, forms, conversational assistants or other Fetchatradie services in a way that interferes with the service or the rights of other people.

01

Provide Genuine Information

Do not knowingly submit false, misleading or fabricated enquiries or impersonate another person when using the service.

02

Do not intentionally disrupt, damage, overload or interfere with the website, its systems or the operation of the service.

03

No Unlawful Use

Do not use Fetchatradie to facilitate unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or otherwise improper activity.

04

Respect Other People

Do not submit material that unlawfully infringes another person's rights, privacy or intellectual property.

05

06

No Automated Misuse

Do not use automated methods to misuse, disrupt, excessively access or extract content from the website in a manner that adversely affects the service or other users.

Website Availability

The Website May Change

Fetchatradie may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the website or service from time to time.

We do not promise that every feature will always be available or that access will always be uninterrupted or free from technical issues.

Website Information

General Information

Information provided on the Fetchatradie website may be general in nature and may not take account of the particular circumstances of your property, job or project.

Where specialist, technical, legal, financial or other professional advice is required, you should consider obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances.

i

Misuse Of The Service

Where reasonably necessary to protect the website, Fetchatradie, other users or the operation of the service, Fetchatradie may restrict or prevent access to the website or decline to process an enquiry involving misuse of the service.

Responsibility & Content

Responsibility, Liability & Intellectual Property

Fetchatradie provides the website and facilitates enquiries and introductions. The responsibilities associated with the actual trade or professional work remain separate from Fetchatradie's role in helping make that connection.

The Work Itself

The professional you engage is responsible for their work.

Where you enter into an agreement with a tradie or service professional, that professional is responsible for the services they agree to provide and for meeting the obligations that apply to their work.

Fetchatradie's involvement in facilitating an enquiry or introduction does not make Fetchatradie the contractor, employer, agent or provider of that professional's services.

Third-Party Professionals

Services Provided By Others

Tradies and service professionals operate independently from Fetchatradie unless expressly stated otherwise in relation to a particular service.

Their quotations, representations, advice, availability, conduct and performance of the work are matters relating to that professional and your dealings with them.

Your Decisions

Deciding Whether To Proceed

You are responsible for deciding whether a particular professional, quotation, service or proposed course of action is appropriate for your circumstances.

Information or an introduction provided through Fetchatradie should not replace any checks, enquiries or specialist advice that are appropriate for your particular project.

Fetchatradie Responsibility

Our responsibility relates to the service we provide.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fetchatradie is not responsible for the acts, omissions, advice, quotations, availability or work of an independently engaged tradie or service professional merely because that professional was identified or introduced through Fetchatradie.

Fetchatradie also does not guarantee that a particular introduction will result in a quotation, engagement, completed job or particular outcome.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude responsibility that Fetchatradie cannot lawfully exclude.

Website Content

Intellectual Property

The Fetchatradie website may contain text, branding, logos, graphics, layouts, software, tools and other content that is owned by or licensed to Fetchatradie or otherwise used with permission.

Unless permitted by law or authorised by the relevant rights holder, you should not reproduce, republish, commercially exploit or distribute protected website content beyond what is reasonably necessary for your personal use of the service.

Fetchatradie names, branding and logos should not be used in a way that suggests an endorsement, partnership or association that has not been authorised.

Content Provided By You

You should only submit information, photographs, documents or other material that you are entitled to provide and that is reasonably relevant to your enquiry or use of the service.

By providing material for an enquiry, you authorise Fetchatradie to use and, where appropriate, share that material to the extent reasonably necessary to process your enquiry, communicate with you and facilitate the service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

i

Rights That Cannot Be Excluded

Nothing in these Website Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability where doing so would be unlawful. Where a right or obligation cannot legally be excluded, these terms apply subject to that right or obligation.
